When Ken reached out to me about building a double cut with no pick guard (a variation of our Diane model), I was already on board to do the project!
I've always thought the "Super Strat" was a great idea… I was just waiting for the right time to build one. With Ken, that time was now!
The culmination of Ken's dream and our guitars resulted in the Diane "Angel" model - one that he calls the "Phuzaxeman"!
From Ken:
CMG makes great guitars! Chris at CMG Guitars helped create my new Diane "Phuzaxeman" guitar. I was looking for a custom sunburst guitar that could play warm clean tones but also had the ability to be overdriven with that raw rock sound. I was also looking for a guitar that could play some funky tones too, especially being used with a wah-wah pedal. I'm really happy how the guitar turned out. This Diane model is the first released Diane model guitar and is the beginning for other models to come.
Ken currently is using his new custom CMG Diane “phuzaxeman” guitar on several upcoming albums. www.kensarmientomusic.com
